Windshield / Windscreen Replacement

We understand that the need to replace your windshield can be unexpected. This leads to an unanticipated expense and commitment of time. Here at Auto Glass on the Go we want to make this process as stress free and positive as possible.  By using OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) Windshields and windscreens we can provide you with quality of your original windshield at a fraction of the cost. In addition, we run a mobile service, so you are able to schedule services without a disruption in your life.

The replacement of your windscreen takes roughly an hour and you are only required to be present to meet the technician to let them into you vehicle.  Once your windshield replacement has been completed you can either pay the technician directly or provide your credit card number to one of our customer service representatives over the phone. After our Sika Certified and trained technician installs your windscreen you will only need to wait an hour before getting out on the road again. All of our windshield replacements come with a Lifetime Warranty which covers any leaking and defects in workmanship and glass.

Does Your Vehicle Have Any Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Why It's Important:

When getting a quote on a new windshield, it is important to not only make sure you are providing the correct year, make and model, but also whether or not your vehicle has Any Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.  The windshield is a crucial piece to the ADAS functionality due to the cues being delivered via a multi-function camera mounted behind the windshield.  If the wrong windshield is installed or installation is done incorrectly, there is a potential for the ADAS to fail which can result in an unnecessary collision.  At Auto Glass on The Go we take your safety seriously.  All of our Sika certified technicians are extensively trained on the proper installation of windshields with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.  It is important to know whether or not your vehicle has an ADAS and what functions your car, truck, van or SUV has.  If our technicians arrive at your location with the incorrect windshield, they will reschedule the installation till after the correct windshield has been obtained.  If you are unsure  of your vehicle has an ADAS, it is always best to contact the dealership to verify prior to scheduling an appointment for your windshield replacement.

Types of ADAS:

  • Adaptive – systems that change or adapt based on input from the surrounding environment
  • Automated – systems that take over and perform certain functions that a driver cannot do safely
  • Monitoring – systems that use sensors, cameras, or other means to observe the surrounding area or driving of the vehicle and assesses whether a correction needs to be made
  • Warning – systems that alert the driver to potential issues in their own driving, or the driving of others, that could increase the risk of injury to those in either vehicle

Examples of ADAS Systems:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Adaptive Head Lights
  • Adaptive Light Control
  • Automatic Braking System (ABS)
